Driving around Argentina in an old beat-up car, going from village to village seeking actors and audiences alike, Daniel Burmeister is the Ringling Bros. of guerilla filmmaking.

At each stop Burmeister uses his sizeable charm to solicit the support of local government, secure room and board, and assemble a cast from local villagers, all in order to make a feature film on location in about 30 days. This documentary follows the tireless, self-taught filmmaker to the town of Benjamín Gould where the plan is to enlist the entire town in his latest comedy.

Through voice-over narration, Burmeister also tells the story of his life and his wonderful working philosophy—including priceless tips and techniques for successful filmmaking on a tight schedule. This film is a hugely pleasurable study of one unique filmmaker’s quirky process.

Dale Hamiltion
Dale has been writing, producing and directing plays for over twenty years. She has had fourteen of her plays produced either by other Canadian professional companies or has produced them through Everybody's Theatre Company, of which she is the Artistic Director.

In 1990 Dale wrote and produced a two-year, 120-cast member, all-inclusive Collaborative Community Play in Eramosa Township ("The Spirit Of Shivaree"). This promenade-style production, staged in the ruins of a limestone mill near Rockwood, was co-produced by England’s Colway Theatre Trust (now Claque Theatre), renowned for their pioneering work in community-based arts. Following Dale’s apprenticeship in England, Colway’s Artistic Director Jon Oram came to Canada to direct “Shivaree”. It played to sell-out audiences and was considered highly successful both artistically and sociologically, having had a strong influence on community spirit and politics. The Globe & Mail called it “nothing short of astounding.”

In 2004 Dale wrote and produced “The Gifts of Time”, a collaborative community play involving over 100 local cast members and an international professional team.  It was staged in a pedestrian mall in Guelph, Ontario in partnership with the Guelph Multicultural Centre.

Scott is an artist, curator, and educator in love with all forms of contemporary art, but especially video and installation.  Scott has facilitated over 100 exhibits, screenings, events, and concerts at Ed Video and in other cities.  He is passionate about the power that art has to improve lives, and an advocate for public policy that invests in art.
